Scientists are committed to managment, research and advising support.

Management
The management includes the managing director, his deputy and the administrative manager.
Directorate
The board of directors consists of five professors of the participating faculties, who have to be members of the FIT.
Members
FIT-members are allowed to carry out basic research projects in the FIT.
Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Board consists of external professors accompanying the scientific work and progress of the center.
Integrative Board
The Integrative Board is an advisory committee within the University of Freiburg to support the development of the center.
Junior Research Group Leaders / Assistant Professors
Scientists who continue to conduct research in the post-doc phase and carry out and lead their own basic research projects at FIT as group leaders.
